Tips for Using ever / never / just / already / yet

1. Look at time meaning first

Think: Is it about experience, recent action, or something not finished?

2. Use ever in questions

 Have you ever…?

It asks about experience at any time in your life.

3. Use never for negative experience

 I have never visited London.

Do not use not with never.

4. Use just for very recent actions

I have just finished my test.

It means a short time ago.

5. Use already for earlier than expected

She has already booked the exam.

Often used in positive sentences.

6. Use yet in negatives and questions

I haven’t received the result yet.

 Have you finished yet?

Usually comes at the end of the sentence.

7. Check sentence type

Question → often ever / yet

Negative → often never / yet

Positive → often just / already
